Well, there *is* political science. More seriously, this is interdisciplinary. They should not be masked as pure AI/ML, nor can we pretend they are solely socio-political. And quite frankly it’s the AI/ML folks that are missing the point, e.g., “model explainability”.
The political issues raised by AI should be worked out in the political sphere, not disguised as scientific research.
