I agree with most of your claims, only that I reject the incorrect assumption that a professor is "powerful" against raging mobs, lead by the likes of Timnit. There is no comparison between the power of the mob, and a single humble professor.

But he notes in his article he deliberately chooses targets with "symbolic value" that he perceives as "more vulnerable" than him. Note that he has never threatened @pjreddie to the best of my knowledge, for example.

What he wrote after the affairs, doesn't change the facts: a "professor" today is not much more than a moving target to all sorts of cruel, vindictive persons, imposing on him (not her) harsh standards to de-humanize him, and strip him of any dignity, while pretending to fight>>>

Furthermore, you continue to conflate self-defense tactics with an act of aggression. While fighting the enemy in self defense it is only justified to attack its *weak* sides, to win the battle.

Pretty sure this all started with Pedro’s trolling. Hard to claim self defense when he inserted himself into the situation (as he so loves doing)

Well, my friend, I am not sure at all. He wrote two short critical lines against Timnit. And she attacked him disproportionally, attempting to destroy him as a person, to my knowledge.

She was acting in self defense, what constitutes proportional response? As Pedro himself asserts she was in a vulnerable position, does that not constitute a reason to aggressively respond to provocation?
