My friend, you seem to completely miss the point (not to say, once more, twist it deliberately?). This text comes *after* he was victimized by SJWs violent cancellation tactics. We are talking here about who is the aggressor and who merely defends himself against the cancellers.

And your characterization of these self-defence tactics as "abusive" is incorrect. They are necessary measures against SJW bullies.

Anyone who is so brittle as to need to resort to goading, mocking, and threatening people he perceives as more vulnerable on social media should not be trusted with power, regardless of why he feels provoked.

When you are in a position of power, you have a responsibility to treat those less powerful than you with respect. Even when that's hard. That is the cost of power. Don't like it, don't become a professor.

I agree with most of your claims, only that I reject the incorrect assumption that a professor is "powerful" against raging mobs, lead by the likes of Timnit. There is no comparison between the power of the mob, and a single humble professor.

But he notes in his article he deliberately chooses targets with "symbolic value" that he perceives as "more vulnerable" than him. Note that he has never threatened

What he wrote after the affairs, doesn't change the facts: a "professor" today is not much more than a moving target to all sorts of cruel, vindictive persons, imposing on him (not her) harsh standards to de-humanize him, and strip him of any dignity, while pretending to fight>>>

Furthermore, you continue to conflate self-defense tactics with an act of aggression. While fighting the enemy in self defense it is only justified to attack its *weak* sides, to win the battle.

Pretty sure this all started with Pedro’s trolling. Hard to claim self defense when he inserted himself into the situation (as he so loves doing)

You have no idea what you're talking about. I got repeatedly trolled by Anima and then Timnit, whom she brought in. Read the tweets.

Unfortunately I can’t actually go read the tweets, you and your buddies threatened her employment and bullied her off Twitter, remember? Pretty ironic you rail against cancel culture but also use your status and power to silence those you deem as “more vulnerable” than you.

Don't be disingenuous. You can read my tweets, Timnit's, etc. And don't keep pretending that I wasn't the target of a cancel attack, and that my article isn't about how to defend yourself from one.
