Machine learning is the most anti-woke technology there is, because it lets us treat people as individuals, rather than just members of coarse demographic categories. No wonder it's under attack.

Pedro, can you explain what you mean? Surely the features chosen to represent those individuals as input to the algorithm are in effect demographic categories, no?
Think of all the data that goes into building models of you: clicks, likes, text, speech, images, relations, purchases, sensors, etc., etc. It's the polar opposite of making decisions about you based on race and gender.
