Doesn’t it treat them as a point in a finite-dimensional vector-space?
Machine learning is the most anti-woke technology there is, because it lets us treat people as individuals, rather than just members of coarse demographic categories. No wonder it's under attack.

A high-dimensional one, or even infinite (as in kernel machines), or not even a vector space (as in relational learning). But for the wokes people are two-dimensional (race and gender).

Machine Learning is a powerful predictor engine and classifier. The problem is when ML's powerful, yet simple pattern recognizing capabilities, over-stretch eg. GPT-3. Larger 'language models' that scale correlation don't understand us. They are forever bigger 'text generators'
