I understand your argument. People argue for the wrong reasons, especially over this notion called “Rules”. Separate impact from intent, and first see if there’s an agreement on intent—here, stopping the bleeding. Then we can go from there to how. This is Twitter’s how.

I also think that Twitter banning Trump (1) makes violence more likely, not less, (2) is inconsistent with how they've treated other world leaders who have actually incited violence, etc., (3) sets a dangerous precedent, and (4) is bad for the future of social media.
