The woke mob and their cancel culture.

If there is a “woke mob,” I’m probably part of it, so I guess I’m both Stalin and Stalin’s victims. Good luck building your anti-woke mob to cancel Anima. Feel free to cancel me too.

The goal here is to put an end to cancel culture. @AnimaAnandkumar is one of the worst, as illustrated by how she derailed our discussion by flinging insults and calling up a mob. She and others like her have to be stopped. I hope you join us in fighting for this.

Anima has done a lot to make ML more inclusive. I support her, and I appreciate that she doesn’t put up with harassers or people who support them. I also appreciate that she listens and will change her mind when called for.

Anima has made some people afraid to express racist and misogynistic views without consequence. That’s a good thing. You’re trying to make her afraid to work towards inclusive ML. That’s a bad thing.

As I recall from the earlier conversation, you see no harm in using ML to label trans people. Well, I have family members who are trans, and I care about them and the harms that will be done to them in the future.

So this is personal. This is about my family. This is about making ML a place where people I care about are welcome.
