Pedro, this may come as a surprise to you but people have actually noted your behavior already before you tweeted that ”fact”. Your own tantrum has been the saddest indication of the state of American academia (/politics). Timnit and Meredith are sparks of hope in this dismay.
Someone who doesn't know me at all feels free to insult me four times in one tweet, based on my tweeting a known fact. This is the state of American academia today.
