Wow. Some days are improved without ML. Today is one of those days.

Exchanges like these are proof positive that far too many in this field lack enough of, or really any, humanities/social science education. Really lays bare the deficiencies of CS- and engineering-centric studies that so often happen to the exclusion of all else.

Professor Domingos, I graduated from UW and am a big fan of your work. I was a synthetic biologist and your book got me interested in ML. But I think there is merit to what Professor Anandkumar is saying.
