As you know, Timnit's paper was not censored - it would be published either way - and she was not fired. Rather, if you trash your company's efforts in your area and threaten to resign, you shouldn't be surprised if they let you.

You’re arguing over facts that are public knowledge. She and google were discussing the terms of a *potential* resignation, none of which had been finalized. She was then unilaterally informed that her resignation - which she hadn’t formally offered - was accepted. Do better.
