You're implying something about the process that is factually false, and easily knowable. I participated in some of these ethics reviews for 2020. Involved in multiple comments and rebuttals were: authors, primary reviewers, ethics reviewers, and PC members.
Read my tweet. I said papers were rejected based on ethics reviews, and they were. I did not say the decision was made by the reviewers alone (and that's obvious - they never are).
