Pedro, you miss my point. He is precisely the person *least* likely to feel the downsides of facial recognition. Studies show that’s people of color, the poor, and women. He spoke to none of them (although he did choose to tell a hearsay story of a black offender).

And yes, Galton’s role in the history of stasistics is particularly important here - and how he used it for race science. They should be understood together. Like this op ed, being willfully blind to the multiple sides of a story does not end well.
