'i am not in the entertainment business' - the journalism of today definitely seems to be leaning a lot further towards entertainment and sensationalism.

Jim Lehrer set the standard for journalism for my entire adult life. I became a viewer as a college student in the 80’s and still listen to the NewsHour via podcast today. He will be deeply missed but his legacy will continue

Thanks for sharing Jim’s rules, to which very few aspire and even less adhere to today.
