Great quote! I have great respect for Clayton Christensen. But he was incorrect in arguing that tech disruption can only happen from the low end, and missed the disruption of the auto industry by Tesla.

He also argued that it could come from the top down. The point was that it was niche, that it met the needs of some small subset of the market that were under-served. In the case of low end disruption, the tech gradually improved. In the case of the high end, the price came down.
