Yes, I always argue the problem is with the moderates, not the extremists. There will always be extremists. They only win when the moderates start apologizing for them. Weak moderates are easily dominated by motivated extremists.

Politics is broken in the US and not enough people have the will or political capital to make the changes needed to fix it, imo. Two-party system breeds dysfunction, with a silent majority stuck voting for "the lesser evil." What are your thoughts on fixing US democracy
