@SusanDReynolds is an outspoken leader of the recall effort and a homophobe.

Most of the rest of the leadership are buddies with Andy Ngo and other right wing reactionaries.

The recall is opposed by the NAACP,
#BlackLivesMatter
leaders, 7 of 11 supervisors and many liberal leaders from San Francisco.2 replies 0 retweets 4 likes -

So far zero citywide politicians have signed on to this toxic effort which is opposed to San Francisco and our values.

It can’t “be opposed to San Francisco” unless the DA is the embodiment of those values, when 80 000+ voters signed this second petition. I’m much less interested in what San Francisco values are, when the outcomes across the board are so antithetical to them, but that’s just me.

This recall isn’t “mine”, and this recall and the one for the school board have eclipsed the right/left paradigm. When you have former progressives and current liberals supporting recalls of progressive candidates and politicians, there’s something to that.

as for liberals, neoliberalism tends to heavily lean to the right economically which tends to also cause it to lean to the right socially as well when push comes to shove, so thats not really a shock that liberals would support a right wing recall effort.

the major concern w/ the recalls is to prevent and push back against progressivism, its a reactionary movement in response to progressivism. I would be convinced otherwise if there was any proof these recalls were progressively minded as opposed to being reactionary.

what progressive candidates do you suppose will replace the current ones? or are you looking to elect less progressive candidates? to me thats sort of an important question but since there are no candidates at all this whole thing is actually ridiculous.
