I just chased down a shoplifter and helped recover stolen goods. I’ve seen this shit happening a lot more lately.
You can say ‘pandemic’ but our DA @chesaboudin, for whom I idiotically voted, is giving carte blanche and free passes to criminals and it’s getting out of hand.
I don't think that it would be likely that Troy would have been held by a judge for his crimes, we do not usually do that in this country it's very unusual. Generally rejecting bail only happens for people likely to flee the country or incredibly dangerous like murderers.

Getting a judge to hold this man in jail (for how long? we don't even know when he can stand trial at this point) for the crimes he committed seems unlikely. The parole board is far more likely to be able to do something because they have more power than the DA.

The DA tried to refer the case to the agency with more power than him to deal with the situation and they chose not to revoke Troy's parole.
