So you're just upset at the concept of parole and you want to like, what, get rid of it? Are you aware that people are released on parole without incident all the time?

I totally may be. What I understood is that a person demonstrated that they can commit crime. 5 times there were no consequences, and now they MAY be some (but I’m not confident). I’m wondering - why is this time any different? Where am I mistaken?

I mean, pandemics have happened in the past. I’m open to the possibility that another one may happen within my lifetime. If so, I’ll try not to commit crimes so I’m not in lockup when that happens.

but you're aware of the 8th amendment, it protects us from cruel and unusual punishment, the prisons are liable for the health of the prisoners.

I’d compare statistics with a true police state, like North Korea or Germany, then draw conclusions. I’ll dig out some numbers.
