    Seeing the Volcano for the Trees - Scientists study just what causes trees near volcanos to become more and more green prior to an eruption from beneath those same trees. Reminder: Earth is a planet, so planetary science applies here, too. 🌋

    Oh, this left me cackling.

    New astrobiology course offering: “Aliens, are they real?” taught by Prof. Avi Loeb. Students will cook up different types of aliens, suggest humans have already made contact, and then learn to shout down mainstream astrobiologists for not taking the ideas seriously.

    New observations from taken in microwave light show that the visible zones and bands on the surface extend below and change while ’s Great Red Spot has been found to extend down 500 kilometers below the surface.
