We don't know what satellite payload was on board - maybe just a test satellite. Also don't know when in the launch process it failed (not in the first few seconds, since no scar on the pad).

I had already added this launch to https://planet4589.org/space/gcat but with a guessed date of Jun 13; I'll correct it to Jun 12 tomorrow. I have given it the launch designation 2021-F03 (3rd orbital failure this year following the Shang Quxian from Jiuquan and the Electron from Mahia)

In January, they announced the launch of four satellites, Pars-1, Zafar-2, Toloo and Nahid-2. Very likely one of them.

Actually, they announced last year that they would launch Zafar-2 just after the first one. So, I think it might be Zafar-2 on-board. Let's hope we'll have some kind of confirmation someday...

Alas, I do not see a mention of satellite or at what stage the failure is occurred. So we can assume that it was an attempt to launch that was failed before launch. Also about 4th Simourgh launch failure in a row: Iranian officials told in July 2017 that there was not satellite.

You're saying the July 2017 launch did not carry a satellite payload? Or that the launch was not aimed at reaching orbit?
