Unpopular opinion, but ... who do people ceaselessly advocating for more exercise imagine are on the other side? Do they think their targets are somehow unaware of exercise's benefits? That people just need a l-iiiii-ttle more convincing? Both seem awry, at best.

You could make the argument that people are confused about the merits of resistance training vs aerobic training, or that too many think a nice mall walk is enough, but this seems like a doomed search for local optima in a fitness landscape.

Sure, there is little doubt that people are confused, especially with age, about the merits of cardio vs resistance training with the latter rising sharply in importance. I'm unconvinced more blah-blah will change anything, however.
