I've done that thing where I've turned everything I do for relaxation into something which involves code. My brain is being sluggish today and isn't cooperating with coding, so my immediate impulse is to pick up the latest Zachtronics game to relax. There is a flaw in this plan

I cannot get enough write-ups using a fax machine to deploy NSA-developed exploits to own the rest of the network... and of course if you need to exfiltrate data, you can always fax it back. Your multi-function printer/fax is part of your attack surface.

Hello world! I'm a regular Twitter user, but I don't post about my trans kid using my actual name in order to protect his privacy. So this is my alt-account specifically for sharing our story as a family working out how best to support a trans kid.

This is a very detailed article, and the very short summary is the government is looking for incredibly broad reaching powers for national security, criminal investigation, and "revenue protection". I've got a meeting now, but I'll do a deep dive later today.

Just your regular reminder why end-to-end encryption is important if you value your privacy and security. There's no way this won't get abused. If you're not sure where to start, then start here:

Woah. After hours of trying to get my rust code to compile (lifetimes and Result types are fun!), I've got my No Man's Sky profitability calculator reading the refiner spreadsheet. Columns are Name, Input x3, Output, Profit per input, Profit total.
