You shouldn’t have to pay an extra $50 to sit next to your child on the plane, pay a surprise “resort fee” for a hotel stay, pay $200 to terminate your cable plan, or pay huge service fees to buy concert tickets.
It’s time for Congress to pass the Junk Fee Prevention Act.

Usually it’s wrong to interpret foreign events through American analogies, but what’s happening in Brazil is an exception. The far-right there has very explicit and direct links to their American peers; there’s a reason Jair Bolsonaro is currently camped out in Florida

Apparently by at least Jan. 2, rally organizers knew Trump on Jan. 6 would call for people to march to the Capitol. But under questioning from investigators, multiple witnesses — including Ali Alexander — would testify they couldn’t recall how they came to know that crucial info.

Three huge differences between a 50-50 and 51-49 D majority:
1) Having a majority on each Committee versus power sharing/deadlocks requiring discharge petitions;
2) No single D Senator can hijack/block nominations; and
3) Ds can have *two* members absent and still hold votes.
