Corporations think they're "giving back" to FOSS by starting (or even forking) FOSS projects, when in reality, "giving back" would be *working within* the existing FOSS community and leadership structures to fix bugs and help add things the community deems appropriate.
Cant have that. Let's fork the project and put it under the Linux Foundation, and just for kicks exert influence on the original project's maintainer's employer to have them banned from working on it (even in a personal capacity). And yeah, that shit happens.
