There's probably a better answer, but I used to hand out nut samples at the Renaissance Festival - so full costume, cockney accent, lots of comments like, "Fancy the king's nuts in yer mouth???"

For a civil injury case I sat in a specific area of mall to see how often it was swept/mopped/cleaned. 4 hours a day every Saturday/Sunday for 3 weeks. Or working with defense the sentencing phase of a death penalty case. Or playing music.

once when i was 16 i got paid to "ghost-write" a series of novellas except the only outline was the genre so i just wrote all of them with no other prompt, they paid a 10th-grader to do this
