I design things for the Interwebs & Printernets. I'm a mobile tech geek, beware! I used to podcast about all of these topics, hopefully I'll get back to that.

Love the new "Neutral" theme in for the web, but the ever so slight variance in the grey in the navigation header and the background of the body is making some of the cogs in my brain seize up.

It's also chock full of the previous owner's personal data, so they should be thankful I'm the new owner and will wipe this baby clean, no harm no foul. We'll see how much we can still do with Android from many moons ago. Some good wholesome fun for 100 pennies! Score!

Rummage sale find of the day: a working Android tablet from Verizon for (drumroll please) $1! It came in a broken keyboard case but pops right out to use as a tablet. Running Android 5.1 with a whopping 16GB of storage and a SIM card that seems to still send and receive data...

Also, I used for guidance as usual which is the best for getting tips for these kinds of repairs. In this case I avoided nicking the FP sensor wire because I knew where it was before melting and slicing away 📱🗡️

My previous ROMing phone was my Moto X4. It wasn't great for trying out ROMs mainly because it required a USB 1.0 port on Windows to properly flash it and as of LineageOS 18 there was no camera app that recognized the second wide angle camera on the back.

Picked up a Pixel 3 128GB on eBay for $70. Just had to swap out the cracked back and camera glass cover. $13 for a new back panel with everything included except the fingerprint sensor, which I swapped over too. This will be my new ROMing phone starting with 🎉

I've been playing with my beloved LG G6 and really miss the LG experience. But, the G6 is slow with its SD821. So I decided to buy an LG V40 on today for something with more horsepower. They're unbelievably cheap for what you get! Only $119! Looking forward to trying it🤓

My system is a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme from 2019 and has an i7-8850H, 32GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX Ti 1050. It's no slouch of a PC but it is heating way more than on Windows 10. I haven't changed my workflow. Not sure I can wait for updates to smooth things out... 😔

Windows 11 crashed pretty hard on me several times today while trying to finish a last minute project for work. Performance has been much worse since upgrading. Maybe I need a fresh install or to go back to Windows 10?...

To me this is, when read dramatically, one of the more intense status update messages in a shared Google Doc or Sheet. I keep waiting for it to say "Last edit came from inside your house"🎃👻💀
