Kelly Marie Tran was a wonderful presence on Instagram and one of the nicest people you could hope to inhabit the galaxy far, far away.
It's gotten to the point where I don't want to label myself a fan of anything.

I hope it's not lost on everyone that as much hate as Solo is getting from the usual suspects, its star Alden Ehrenreich isn't getting a fraction of the hate, shaming and vile racist sewage directed towards him that Kelly Marie Tran has for being a supporting actor in Last Jedi.
The toxicity is the very same toxicity of another kind (starts with “M”) and is shockingly clear in a case like this. The star of the same film had to take extra acting lessons and have massive reshoots around that issue. Crickets.

These aren't fans that love the franchise so much, they're psychopaths out for blood. Change and accepting new things are part of natural evolution. Without them, we wouldn't get anywhere in life. Here's to Kelly. She will survive and come out stronger.

I know Jake Llyod had a terrible time post-PM. He definitely quit acting and doesn't want anything to do with Star Wars anymore. I mean, imagine being a little kid who gets to play Darth Vader and the very thing you love drives you away from Star Wars forever.

Not lost at all. Also not lost that Leslie Jones caught way more flack for her role in Ghostbusters than anyone else.

I wasn't aware that many people hated solo. I'm boycotting it, but purely because I don't want to pay for SW films anymore. TLJ robbed me of that habit. I also dont abuse the actors or writers (unless you class me stating thar Rian Johnson wrote a really poor SW film as abuse)
