    She tried the “correct” word there (the one I had gotten), and it worked. So, it’s sorted out, but it seems weird that the old site served up a different word… I guess the NYT changed the code or wordlist or something?

    Looking closer, we realized that somehow, her Wordle was still on the original (non-NYT) site (even though she’s been playing every day). After refreshing her browser, it redirected itself to the new NYT site.

    So she showed me her screen, and it was a completely different word than the one I had gotten! (and yes, hers was a super weird word).

    This worked! I had been on the original site, and it redirected to NYT this morning, so I didn’t think it would help. But I googled the original URL, and when I went there, it re-redirected me, but this time with my stats (apparently) intact!

    I see ppl say go to the original website

    I’m feeling my annual holiday-time urge to play a video game. Anyone have any recommendations? My all-time favorites are Portal 1 & 2, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch. Needs to be playable on PS4 or Mac. Suggest something!
