Today we have preserved a cancelled Quake port for the GBA! It was originally being developed by @RandalLinden. If that name rings a bell, Linden is a veteran game developer best known for the creation of the BLEEM emulator as well as the groundbreaking SNES port of Doom!

Adding to the already incredible legacy of bleem!, did you know that it was used to help pitch the original Xbox? was asked to create a custom version for Windows, which would boot a game directly, and this is the emulator mentioned in Power On: The Story of Xbox.

In the new Xbox documentary, the PlayStation emulator mentioned is none other than bleem! We were asked by Microsoft to make a version which booted straight into the game for their demo without any titles. youtube.com/watch?v=AJYsA1 Thanks to @pipnayler for finding this tidbit!

Developing for mobile is a real exercise in efficiency. Using the same brute force approach to generating levels as on PC saw load times of at least 40 seconds and a frame rate of 30. Now, I'm loading bigger levels in under 2 seconds and the frame rate is a solid 60. #gamedev
