YT Editor has been saying "processing edits" for 4 days and won't let me edit at all now. So, I contacted creator support who told me it was because you can't edit videos over 100k views. This absolutely isn't true as I can currently edit every other video I have live over 100K.

It is just this ONE video. So, I contact creator support again and was told that due to the type of claim, the only way to be able to edit my video is to dispute the claim first. I'm sorry, what?pic.twitter.com/aIXKyFqt6a

My YouTube editor specifically states that I have to submit the claim AFTER replacing the audio.. but how am I going to do that if the type of claim prevents me from making any edits to the video? It is a complete contradiction.pic.twitter.com/byUd7Hrs9E

Not only that, but why is YouTube actively suggesting I mute/replace the claimed audio if they know that due to the type of claim I am prevented from making ANY edits to the content?pic.twitter.com/2Tp17Iblou

It seems to me that YouTube are protecting the companies making the claims by then preventing creators from removing audio if it gets claimed - therefore removing any chance the creator has to have the revenue for their video returned to them.

@TeamYouTube I approached you regarding this issue and I have also spoken to creator support multiple times now; every time I have received a different answer. This is all the information I have and to me it seems incredibly contradictory. Can you please give me a solution?1 reply 0 retweets 49 likesShow this thread -
The best advice I received from YouTube support was to dispute a valid claim with no changes to the video (because the type of claim means I can't edit at all) in order to resolve the claim; despite the fact that this would only cement the claim as the claimed audio is there.pic.twitter.com/y17FWewv1F

It does not resolve the claim as Rico at Creator Support stated because the claim will remain on the video. I just don't understand how this is the only option I have as it neither fixes the issue or achieves anything but the solidification of the claim on my video.

I privatised and reuploaded for now, but still lost a half a million views by doing so :(
