We do have some boys who can kick some ass, but not enough that we could do something like WWII again. They took out hand grenade throwing training in boot camp because not enough young men coming in could throw well enough.

My grandfather donated a hunting rifle and a shotgun to the British homeguard in 1940 to help them defend against Nazi invasion becsuse THEY WEREN'T ALLOWED TO OWN GUNS AND HAD NOTHING TO FIGHT WITH

And, that program, by the way, was organized by the NRA. So arguably, at least to some extent, the Brits owe the existence of their very country to the NRA.
