    The science is clear. Logging increases bush flammability for 30 years. Forest growth is fire risk management. Forests are essential for carbon storage! Jailing people for defending forests in a climate and ecological emergency is criminal.

    Protest details:

    Do you agree with that peaceful protestors & scientific surveyors in coupes should be hit with up to $21K fines or 12 months jail? If not, join us for snap rally this Tues June 21, outside parliament, to oppose new legislation.

    …and is even crazier given just 1% of our beautiful Central Highlands old growth forests (mostly mountain ash) survive & are now facing ecological collapse. Peaceful protestors v politicians surrendering to the loss of irreplaceable forests - who are the real extremists here?

    Tomorrow I’ll be heading to snap forest rally opposing new laws that would hit logging protestors with up to $21k in fines or 12 months’ jail. This is an extreme & indefensible assault on the right to protest…
