    What I see is a very efficient piece of visual communication designed to reinforce a false narrative. And it clearly works - it doesn't matter how inappropriate the use of charts, or the details.

    For me, nothing will beat this chart though. It’s a flow chart but actually he just put a bunch of words on a board

    Great & training with CODE-NGO utilizing free (as in cost) and free (as in freedom, ) tools like , , , , and that are perfect for NGOs, CSOs, journalists, and small orgs.

    Had fun doing a training with CODE-NGO on & . We talked about some principles of design and do's and don'ts of data visualization. Afterwards, we had hands-on exercises with free (as in cost) and free (as in freedom, ) tools.

    This basically seals the deal that San Francisco is going to be a Big Tech town going forward; if you are a mid-size company or smaller, you need to pick another city or go remote (if you haven't likely done that already).

    French law prohibits the collection of any data based on race too, so you can't analyze racial inequality either.

    So basically, in France the analyses we do to understand algorithmic bias are now illegal to use to understand human biases. I actually think the current wave of human quantitative legal realism is one of the best things to come out of algorithmic accountability work.
