This is one of the least offensive ways I’ve seen trash cans misused.

Let's be clear, denying kids an education is not a Jewish thing. Judaism has never stood for ignorance, poverty, and dependence on government assistance. Speak up today at:

Since this is probably the last day I can tweet this, can I just remind folks that Elon Musk is a union-busting billionaire who inherited money from his dad's apartheid-era emerald mines? Tax the rich + unionize Twitter now!

I’m so sick and tired of this comment. We march against gun violence ALL THE TIME. The implication that those of us who care about accountability, fairness, and justice in the legal system don’t care about the violence in our own communities is false and dangerous.

Data actually shows that the NYPD’s new anti-crime units are mainly arresting people for non-violent crimes like drug possession and driving with a suspended license. They were designed to target illegal firearms:

Quick thinking transit workers helped riders escape after gunfire erupted on an N train pulling into the 36th Station. Riders were whisked away on an R train that was across the platform. Shout out to the Conductors and Train Operators on both trains.

“Will people still take the subway?” Working people have to take the subway. The subways have to be safe.

We're horrified by the mass shooting in Sunset Park this morning. No person should fear for their life on their morning commute. We need to bring an end to the violence and make our communities whole.

I support eviction because I'm sick of seeing seniors who have lived in their building 30+ years be forced into housing insecurity when a building changes hands.

In June 2020, Buffalo cops were caught on camera gratuitously pushing a 75-year-old protester to the ground, fracturing his skull. Two years later, let's check in on what's happened to those cops. It shows how our hierarchy of consequences for police misconduct is all screwed up.

1/ Remembering the nearly 40,000 New York City residents who have died from COVID-19 is painful. But as one New Yorker told , remembering “is a good place for healing to start.”

Earlier today I saw a tweet asking, are there any anti-LGBTQ laws being floated in NYS? The answer, very sadly, is YES: the rollbacks of bail reform, raise the age, discovery; attempts to expand Kendra's law, and so many others. does not ❤️ queers.

Great episode on extended NYS budget season and the role of Eric Adams (spoiler: none, turns out he’s irrelevant in Albany but huge in Chicago)

This is what it looks like when federal support for free COVID testing runs dry. Thankfully has our back with a large network of FREE testing sites all over NYC. No insurance, no ID, no appointment, no problem.
