I believe that Twitter starts sending these when you're not looking at your account for a day or two, and that there's no way to turn them off completely, only a way to stop them from being pushed to a phone thisinterestsme.com/recommended-tw.

Yeah I only get them on that photo alt, never had them on this account - I also always get new features on that account much earlier than this one
