it tends to put people on edge, but i'd do it a lot anyways and mostly didn't regret it later. it is what it is i guess

yeah... tbh street photography is one thing but i was just thinking about taking pics of my friends

oh right! yeah honestly i think a lot of ppl i know would be cool with it but i just hate the photos you get when someone is just sitting inertly at dinner

I can’t remember which snapper said they look for the gesture — maybe Joel Meyerowitz — but Alain Passard always says that when he’s talking about cooking, and I think there’s a lot there
I dunno, they have a sort of magic quality to them, like a symbol of the action itself
