I’ve had the same experience. A young Black man asked me why I didn’t support the recall after I told him I supported Chesa, I told him, and he said “Damn, yeah that’s what I thought.” and told me he was getting paid by the signature.

Three days in a row at Trader Joe's on Hyde St these paid recall petitioners were harassing the staff & customers. A middle aged white man, then black man, today two elderly women. They're being paid $2 - $3 a signature, and sadly don't know the facts about either recall. (1/2)

When I've done volunteer petitions at that location (Prop C 18, etc) I've had security ask me to move & the cops called. Criminal justice reform is important.
