More than one media outlet that mocked Prince for controlling whether his music was on YouTube is now publicly questioning whether their podcasts should appear on some platforms without their permission. Sometimes “crazy” is just another word for “early”.

It’s no coincidence that black voices explain the structural inequities in digital platforms before others do.

Talking to a client today, who said "You did everything you said you would." It made me so happy, when you create a company, you do it with the belief that you can make the impossible, possible. when it works, there is not much better.

The interview was really intense for Diana and I. We were two over 40 year old mamas in a minivan and jeans without a prototype. We almost left before the interview and that would have been a mistake. Anyone asking for money, is not really helping. Ask an alumni, they will.

Black women get so much accomplished despite existing in the face of constant attack, degradation, violence and dehumanization. Imagine how much better off *everyone* would be if you let us work in peace, thrive, and weren’t threatened by our confidence?

The goal of oppressors is to limit your imagination about what is possible without them, so you might never imagine more for yourself & the world you live in. Imagine something better. Get curious about what it actually takes to make it happen. Then fight for it every day.

The purpose of power is to expand the tent, not close it when you get in. I recognize that today it may be someone else, but the same people will come for me. If not me, those I love.

This show was amazing. It reminded me in the power of surviving. Also, how important it is to have people who look like you as an option. Watching a team of women make another safe is an incredible reminder that we need people who understand us at work, home and everywhere else.

Right. We trained our team as organizers and thought about power and change. That never would have happened outside of a start up:) and look how magical you and are

working at a start up can be a path for people who are excluded from the the tech pattern of hiring. It created a path for me to do something different, it also created opportunities for people like me who would have otherwise been excluded.

I started working at an early stage start-up because I knew it created a space for me to lead. Having never worked in tech, not going to business school, etc, a traditional tech company would have put me in govt affairs. Instead I ended up running revenue.

I have the privilege of watching a young girl of color understand that technology should be used to improve our lives. Also, that it can be led by women and people of color.
