“Any executive who participates in decision-making that leads to hundreds or thousands of people losing their jobs should be the one leading them out the door…tech CEOs should be fired for poorly managing some of the largest companies in the world.” 🎯

I don't buy for one second that Republicans who fostered a violent insurrection in DC care about our safety or our democracy. The people of DC deserve the right to govern themselves without interference. Instead of playing politics, Congress should pass DC Statehood. #HandsOffDC

The worst part of living under a GOP Supermajority, is you can’t look away—you can’t take a break. You can’t trust them to do anything right for your state. They are always in attack mode and you never know the next target.

I'm proud to be Cuban because I moved to Miami and showed people that many of us can in fact recognize when a government official is becoming dictatorial. Recently my abuelo was watching DeSantis on the news and said "he reminds me of Fidel." He's a Cuban exile. Let that sink in.

The highly partisan vote to remove was not about accountability. It was about political revenge. I will move immediately to seat Rep. Omar on the House Budget Committee. Where she will defend Democratic values against right-wing extremism.

When I questioned these things in my third academy, and stated that they were inconsistent with the ethics of policing, I was kicked out of the academy on my last day. I had completed and excelled at all the graded tasks, but was told “you aren’t what we want in our force.”

There’s a lot of talk in the news today about these “bad cops”“infiltrating the police” As God is my witness, it is exactly as I felt in 60-70s. The reverce I had unwittingly infiltrated a culture of rogues & thieves posing as police. That system still holds me in contempt today

The disenfranchisement of 700,000 American citizens living in DC is a 220-year-old wrong that we have a responsibility to fix. The end goal is full access to our nation’s democracy. Full access means autonomy, it means 2 senators, and it means being admitted as the 51st state.
