Thanks - and looks like a cool tool I'll have to try it out. Wish I had something like that while researching this blog post :). ...I was just poking around the index data in LLDB.

I think that using both at the same time could really help. You still need to build a model in your head, but regularly consulting the unvarnished truth of what actually ends up on disk speeds the process up. (More so than slightly higher level tools like pageinspect can, IMV.)
