my guess is that *some* people don’t use the List-ID tag in the email header to filter their email (i.e. they use the subject 😖)

yes. But the list-id also changed, for the namespace change into lists.postgresql.org -- a change that should've been done years ago but wasn't.

Haha. I see. I have been trapped by the fact that -general and -jdbc, and a couple of others are not migrated yet. I think I fixed it now.

Hope you didn't spend too much effort on that fix, those are about to be migrated... As in, today, once I'm awake enough. ;)
