This feature greatly reduces the size of the single large object in most instances. It's going to make small instances easier and cheaper for self-hosters and make larger instances scale vertically for a lot longer. Thanks!

Great! Don't forget to assess Postgres 14 B-Tree stuff when next release comes around for Discourse (this time next year?). Index deletion greatly improved now, which helps a lot in cases where VACUUM can't keep up with updaters + several big indexes. See postgresql.org/docs/devel/btr.

Great! You might be surprised at how infrequently I get *any* user feedback, good or bad (who knows why?). Seeing a well written account of how the feature has helped your app is both helpful and gratifying. The details of how dedup affects some particular app matter to me.
