Not surprised that Discourse DB benefits from B-Tree dedup so much. The "post" table (often the largest) has a total of 13 indexes (per github.com/discourse/disc, 13 includes the PK on id). This is extreme, and yet fairly common. Extremes are actually common in my experience.
