Open Source governance should be as value-driven as open source itself is. It would be hypocritical to promote the open source freedoms while at the same time having governance of open source projects that is not transparent, democratic and accountable.

I don't think I'm of importance here. Others are much more than I am. But I'd just continue bringing ideas, hopefully vision too, contribute software, do Community work, and continue improving Postgres World. Applying critical thinking, and avoiding staying in a comfort zone.

No. The company I founded does obviously pay me a salary. This salary and itself are the only economic interest I have in PostgreSQL. And they will hopefully be for the rest of my career. If you are asking if I personally expect something out of this: 100x NO. Ever.

I disbelieve Alvaro because his story doesn't add up. His incendiary rhetoric also makes me suspicious. I probably would have given him the benefit of the doubt if he didn't liken core to a totalitarian political group in one tweet. (see twitter.com/petervgeoghega)

It's very hard to take you seriously because you're not acknowledging any downside to what you propose, nor any upside to the status quo. The status quo certainly has its problems, but this isn't helping.
