Just a quick little reminder that Arya and the Hound are the best pairing on Game of Thrones, and there should be a spinoff show where they just ride around Westeros solving crimes or murdering people who deserved it or whatever.

They don't even need to do a lot of murdering. I'd watch a show where they open a bar and the Hound is the grumpy but excellent chef and Arya charms the patrons working the front of the house. Ok, maybe they'd need to do some murdering.

It's not quite a procedural, but you would have loved Greg Rucka's Gotham Central which was about the cops in Gotham.

Still bummed that Agents of Shield wasn’t that.

I'd watch Law and Order: Starfleet for sure. I'm not sure off the top of my head if the Federation has a police force, separate from ship's security in Starfleet. If you're a random Federation citizen on, say, Betazed, and you commit a crime, how does that work?

I'll reup my pitch that CSPAN STAR WARS would be an excellent low budget tv show.

Would require a dedicated fanbase to drive it, but that's brilliant.

My favorite episode of TNG was the one following the ensigns.

My pitch: Starfleet NCIS/JAG. Characters visit a new ship/base/station each episode for a crime-of-the-week, plus a longer arc investigating a charismatic Kirk-like young captain seen by the brass as having a bright future for violating the Prime Directive.

"What if we combined the inaccessibility of a scifi world with complicated lore with the mundanity of a blue sky procedural?"
