LA Restaurants were 3% of non-residential setting spread. So shut them down? Food industry lost 100k jobs YoY(was 400k employed, now 300k).LA county has 613k on unemployment up from 221k last year. Here comes another 100K with restaurant closed https://twitter.com/justin_hart/status/1330719220674359298 …pic.twitter.com/JPxTevipnz

Lockdowns kill but what can I do? 1/? Start Local - bombard your local police & sheriff with calls asking if lockdown will be enforced. Sheriffs are elected - be very clear that enforcement means unemployment for them. #Resist #FightBack #FightLockdown

Why a smart person like you continuously downplays a deadly virus is odd. The issue with restaurants is that they can’t police themselves. I saw several places with outdoor seating that were not socially distanced. Indoor dining was equally terrible. https://www.statnews.com/2020/11/10/restaurants-gyms-were-spring-superspreader-sites-occupancy-limits-could-control-spread/ …

I'm not "downplaying" the virus. it's really deadly to some, and not so much for others. I'm sharing actual data from LA county, where they are making decisions. if you follow the other data with age demo of LA county, it doesn't make sense.

Restaurants weren't 3% of non-residential setting spread. They were 3% of the cases that could actually be traced to a specific location. These cases are <1% of the total cases in L.A. county. So you're looking at a tiny selected sample with no representativeness.pic.twitter.com/nUz5oclmUQ

The government should never decide if a business should be open or closed, or if people go or don’t. Leave the choice up to the individual, if you don’t want to go, you have the freedom not to. If you want to close your business you can. That’s democracy.
