CrashPlan’s not going well. Refuses to upload faster than about 1 Mbps, and averages about 350 Kbps, on my 65 Mbit upstream.
@mjtsai could be, I've never done online backup (with an 80GB/month ISP bandwidth limit, it'd take a year to start).

@peternlewis CrashPlan does let you start by mailing them a hard drive. However, these days I prefer Arq: fast and low overhead. -
@mjtsai I'm happy to backup onto harddisks and rotate them off-site, but sadly CrashPlan can't do that sensibly. - View other replies

@mjtsai it actually is - you can backup to two local harddisks, you just can't connect to both remotely which is a sad omission.
