  1. Pinned Tweet

From from my first few years here

  2. It's 1234p. is just leaving the tower after working since at least 10p. Covered this fire all night/ morning. Back tonight.

  3. "That's a lot of red tape. 10-4."

  4. Victim in 015 is 42, shot in the left thigh, left a pretty long blood trail down Chicago Avenue it sounds like

  5. One has to wonder about potential retaliation after someone sets a building on fire and three kids die.

  6. 015 has a bonafide person shot, in a gangway.

  7. This was the moment when Battalion 23 made it a 3-11.

  8. "All trucks on the 3-11 report to sector A with all equipment and ground ladders. 35-footers at least."

  9. "All companies to report to me with their equipment and ground ladders until I say I got enough ground ladders. Side A."

  10. Battalion 23 gives a progress report 13 minutes in as inaccessible interior, inaccessible back porches because of burn out. Asks for 3-11.

  11. Within 10 minutes, escalated by first arriving supervisor to 2-11 w/ EMS Plan 2. That's a fast escalation + response time.

  12. There was extension to a second building through the rear porches. 75x125.

  13. Tower 34 would have been the closest tower and probably followed in E72 but I haven't seen the rundown yet from OEMC / CFD

  14. Batt 23 reported fire through the roof, back porches, 2nd and 3rd floor. Leading out a line during CPR. Tried to get tower up in front ASAP.

  15. Batt 23 then asks for an EMS plan 1, a minute later or so. First crews started CPR on an infant.

  16. Batt 23's size up was 100x125 3 story court yard. Requests the 2-11 within minutes of this first being dispatched.

  17. Battalion 23 keys up: "heavy fire on 2 and 3, fire through the roof, give me a 2-11 on this, I need all trucks available."

  18. Within a couple minutes, they have a size-up from what sounds like Engine 72, who arrives facing southbound and announces the fire

  19. companies acknowledged the report of jumpers and people trapped.

  20. Engine 126 and Truck 49 rolled together to this, they were the first two companies it sounds like dispatch communicated with, both

  21. people trapped / jumpers. "We're getting reports of people trapped on the second floor and also jumpers."
