Big difference between ‘his’ senior advisor (implying only one and a direct reporting line) and ‘a’ senior advisor (implying one of several and no direct reporting line). Methinks you infer/ imply too much.
Let’s not dance on the head of a pin - I was special advisor at the cabinet office next door and met the PM more than twice in the 18 months I was in the job. If you work at N10 and have ‘senior’ in your job title, you have access.
