Hey @PeteButtigieg: Looking back, why did you drop out of the race when you were ahead of #Biden in the delegate count? I've never seen a second place candidate dropping out to endorse someone trailing them.

Updating for accuracy. Apologies, I was mistaken about the delegate count. Buttigieg was in 3rd place in delegates, not 2nd. But my question stands: He did incredibly well in IA and NH and was in the top 3 after SC. So why not let Super Tuesday play out? The NYT explains:pic.twitter.com/aXA4w6PdFU

I disagree with this on its face. 3 states do not speak for the nation. Media drives this. In NY my opinion on who should be the nominee hasn’t mattered since 1992 or 1988. Of they want it over quick condense the the timeline to all be in February. All states should count.

Because he saw he didn't actually have a chance, and he didn't want to play the role of spoiler. He hadn't assembled a winning coalition or enough $.

Bernie has enough money to keep competing, but he also has failed to assemble a winning coalition.
